A colorless to light yellow liquid that is derived from coconut oil, it is a cationic quaternary ammonium salt. It reduces static electricity and has light hair conditioning and detangling properties. It is also used as an emulsifier, surfactant and deodorizer due to its ability to prevent the growth of odor causing microorganisms.
