This essential oil is found in Europe, the Mediterranean region, the Middle East, Africa, India and the Canary Islands. It is steam distilled from the flowering tops of the Lavandula angustifolia plant. Due to its pleasant aroma, it is used as a fragrance, as well as an anti-septic and anti-inflammatory.
